House of Glass by Sarah Pekkanen is a page turner! This book is not within my typical reading genres, but the cover and the book description sparked my interest. As a result, I jumped on the opportunity to read it, and I am so glad that I did! It was nice to deviate from my norm and read something different that was hard to put down.
I thought the book was going to be predictable at first, but it turns out it is anything but. It is a thrill packed book with excellent character development, juxtaposing storylines, and surprise and suspense that keeps you coming back for more.
Stella Hudson is a lawyer who was asked to work on a custody case for a 9-year-old girl named Rose. Rose’s parents are divorcing due to her dad’s infidelity with Rose’s nanny who is found dead after a fall. So begins the winding road, creepy storylines, unpredictable suspense and page turning thrills of this book. It is nearly impossible to put down. There is a redemptive and hope-filled ending and thus a satisfying conclusion to the crazy pages before.
I would like to give thanks to NetGalley, St. Martin's Press and Sarah Pekkanen for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
